I prayed about it and discussed it with my friends and family but I received mixed opinions. Honestly, most of the people I shared the program with said that there was no way they could do it.

The more I heard folks say this, the more it pushed me. I decided then that I was strong enough to make it through this program. In the beginning, I felt really overwhelmed with all the new things we had to get on our grocery list but Angela really helped us with taking us to the store the first time and then giving us a shopping list every week. Having the food items, the recipes, and when to eat what was so easy. The rest was really up to me to follow the tools I was given.
I love to cook so I was fascinated by the way I could make similar things to what I would have eaten but without meat, oils and dairy. Sure, the food tasted different but in a good way. I never realized how many different ways to use beans in a dish! The first two weeks were the hardest but I think that a light bulb just came on and all of a sudden my head was clear.
Sure I missed the taste that I was used to, but I found a whole new way of eating and I loved the way it made me feel. The weekly meetings were a huge part of my success. I look forward to meeting with Angela to talk through the week and she would provide the guidance needed to get me through another week. The second part of the program was attending classes. There is something really special about Get Fit. It is hard to put into words but when I walk into that building I feel love and support that I have never felt before.
The instructors and people who go there are amazing and the support they have given me has been overwhelming. The classes have been so much fun but also pushed me to become stronger physically. There have been many times I have also been overwhelmed spiritually. We would talk through our challenges and lift each other up when we needed it. Our bond continues to grow every day and we know that we will always be here to provide support to each other.
Now that the program is complete I can say that it was the best decision that I have ever made and that I am the strongest I have ever felt. I did that!! What an amazing accomplishment and I am never going to make excuses anymore! I know that I am worth it and that if I want something bad enough that I can see it through. I have so much love and respect for Angela and Rick for creating such an amazing program.

She discussed the program and what it consisted of. When she told me, she was picking me, I started crying. In a little over 14 weeks, I lost 45 pounds. To say that I am grateful, seems insubstantial. I think in the past, I have always tried to lose weight to get skinny.
